When the local cyber-crimes unit uncovers a potential serial killer in Manhattan, all signs point to this mysterious stalker. Persuaded by her roommate to try online dating, Lindy begins to suspect that one of her suitors is a deadly cyber stalker. Lindy is a 21-year-old hacker with a gift for seeing clues and connections in the digital world that others can't. The majority of the show was filmed in Williamsburg, Brooklyn and was Victoria Justice's first major television role since Victorious. Helped by a story line that felt like an old US television movie that would have suited Shannen Doherty and Rob Estes far better. Shown on MTV, Eye Candy received mixed reviews with Entertainment Weekly stating that although Victoria Justice was a winning actress, she was in fact miscast for this role and not Unleashing her own style of justice on the streets of New York City in an attempt to find her sister, who was kidnapped three years earlier. She quickly begins to suspect that one of her suitors might be a deadly cyber stalker, and so teams up with her friends, a band of hackers, to solve the murders he committed while Stine and followed tech genius Lindy played by Victoria Justice, a 21-year-old woman who is persuaded by her roommate to begin online dating. Like so many other TV shows before it, Eye Candy now joins the long list of failures, all of which were concluded by poor audience viewing figures.Įye Candy was based on the book by R.L. Leading lady Victoria Justice broke the news on Twitter confirming that the show would not be returning for season 2 and praising her fellow cast members and the fans that had stayed loyal to the show. After just 10 episodes, MTV’s cyber mystery drama, Eye Candy was cancelled.
